After an extended weekend of formula, Jake's skin is looking more pale and his eyes are bright white. His blood was tested again yesterday, indicating a good drop in bilirubins. Numbers are still on the high side, but should continue to drop now that his liver has had a rest and a chance to further mature. We will watch his colouring over the next week or so to decide if another test is necessary to confirm the recovery. It was such a joy to nurse TJ again yesterday, after what seemed like an eternity of pumping and bottle-fed meals. He's been sleeping for a good 5-hours at a time overnight since Friday, so at least we are all getting a little more rest lately.
Two more weeks until school. Routine, here we come!
