Quinn went to school with all digits crossed. The volleyball team list was to be posted today. He attended three tryouts over the past few weeks, and was really hoping to make the cut.
Off the bus, he had a strange look on his face. I decided to let it go until he brought it up. After a few minutes, his grimace turned to a grin, so I just HAD to ask “Did they post the team today?”
{awkward pause}
“YES! I made the team!” He was so thrilled and obviously very proud. Ten of 31 kids were chosen. Love seeing this kind of enthusiasm in my kid.
So grateful for the high-ten he gave me, beaming with pride.
