The rumours are true...

...Having a baby *is* easier the second time around!

Jake is such a dream – just like Quinn. Eating well, sleeping well, peeing and pooping extra well! Doctor said he's gaining nicely: 8lbs 3oz today, up nicely from his discharge weight of 7lbs 8oz, and birth weight of 7lbs 14oz. She thought his eyes looked "just a tinge" jaundiced, but nothing a bit of sunlight every day wouldn't cure.

I am so relaxed... enjoying every minute so far. Today is our first day without Daddy. Quinn is a bit bored, as it's his first day of summer vacation and "there's nothing to do" – especially because I am tied to Jakey for much of the day. Nobody seems to be out playing, possibly because it's one of those hot, humid, stormy/sunny days during which people just feel better inside. So we're going to have a living room picnic while we watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

PS: Andrew's sister Elizabeth's water broke this morning! Looks like Gabrielle may arrive on her due date, which is also Andrew's Father's birthday! Waiting for more news...
