Quinn’s best friend is having a hockey party for his birthday. Being a skier, and not having much skating experience, Quinn was feeling unsure. Today, we went to the outdoor rink at the end of our street. Fall after fall, recovery after recovery, he nailed it. He didn’t quit, become frustrated or whine. Not once. Within 30 minutes, he was skating fearlessly around the rink, practicing his hockey stops, twirling and begging to stay for another hour. Another two hours. Wanting to come back later.
I am so grateful for today’s lesson learned in attitude and persistence.
So, so proud of you, Quinner.
