Inspiration 365: Day 27

After a morning of freezing rain, treacherous driving conditions and sloppy sidewalks, the neighbourhood appeared to be an icky, slushy, brown mess.

As I drove home in the sunset, I noticed the twinkling ice-coated trees, lightly dusted with fresh snow which had begun to fall late this afternoon.

It struck me how, despite the seemingly ugly weather from earlier in the day, the calm of evening settled the city down into a glorious nighttime display of shimmer and brilliance.
