Reveals to me that children express emotions freely—love, fear, anger, pride.
Why do adults hold back? Where did that inhibition come from? At what point in our development do we begin to retract our expression and turn inward, or express false emotion?
To what gain? Or more importantly, to what loss?
Thank you, Sweet N, for the genuine, unabashed demonstration of admiration tonight. You taught me a lesson I won’t soon forget.
